I grew up in PE and attended Marist Brothers College. After 2 years military service, I studied at UCT, then Rhodes University, before serving articles with Price Waterhouse and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1989.
I am married to Delia, who has somehow managed to put up with me for the last 20-something years, and we have 2 fantastic teenage childeren, Dana and Ronan. I enjoy all sport and pretty much anything that has to do with the outdoors and on weekends you can usually find me on the golf course with my son, or hiking in the mountains with the family. Even though we live far away, in Zürich, we are still ardent supporters of the Sharks!
Since qualifying as a CA(SA) I have held various positions in South Africa, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland, ranging from a finacial manager in Sappi to the Group CFO of a global aviation business. Business and investment advisory services in Switzerland, locally and for SA based businesses, as well as management of our hotel in Morningside, Durban, the Saint James on Venice, keep me busy at the moment.
