I was born in Rustenburg on 29 January 1969. I attended school there and Matriculated in 1986 at the Rustenburg Technical High School.
I was always a keen sportsman being especially good at golf.
I then studied for a teaching career at NKP 4 years and then went to the Army in 1991.
After 1 year in the Army I turned Professional golfer in December 1991.
I played on the Sunshine Golf tour in South Africa till 1998. I only won one event as a professional golfer.
I became golf director at Rustenburg Golf Club in 1996 while playing on the tour.
I met my wife, Angela, in King Williams Town in 1995 and we were married on the 11 April 1998. We have 3 children Jonathan 16, Jennifer 14 and J-Dene 11.
Our son Jonathan is going to Germany on a short term exchange student program [STEP] through Rotary in December 2016.
I was manager of Rustenburg Golf Club from 1999 until 2007 and then General Manager at Euphoria Golf Estate in Naboomspruit from 2008 until 2011.
In 2012 I opened my own mining supply company, EPIQ Industrial, supplying services and products to the mines.
I joined the Rotary Club of Rustenburg in 2002 and was a member until 2007. I then re-joined the club from 2012 till March 2016 during which time I was the Treasurer and President.
